A few years ago my company, CIA Media Group, had an opportunity to record videos for former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Georgia, Leah Ward Sears.
I was so excited to be in her presence and even more excited to hear her stories. I was so intensely focused on what she was saying during that shoot and so grateful to God for the opportunity. She is a phenomenal woman – confident, kind and inspiring!
She was the first African-American female Chief Justice in the United States appointed as justice in 1992 by Governor Zell Miller, the first woman and youngest person to sit on Georgia’s Supreme Court.
Since then, we’ve had additional opportunities to record Justice Sears including an event where she was speaking at the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers annual dinner.
